Great start to the season

Our season has got off to a tremendous start with most teams winning all of their early league games. The weather has been absolutely glorious and certainly not what we’re used to at this stage of the season!

And the weather was perfect for our open afternoon on the 11th of May. We had an exceptional turnout of visitors and as a result we have enlisted over 20 new members . The afternoon saw everyone taking part in roll ups and then enjoying some very well earned refreshments.

In the words of one new member “lovely atmosphere, nice people, nice venue and a very calming game”. Over and over we heard the term “very welcoming” which is how we hope all visitors will be made to feel.

We must say a great big thank you to those members who came to help on the day as we couldn’t have welcomed so many visitors without their help and thanks also to our local magazine, Nettleham Matters, for publicising our event and our monthly articles.
