Now that we are into April we really can look forward to “coming out of hibernation “ and begin playing bowls outdoors. The green looks superb thanks to the hard work of our greenkeepers, Pete and Alan. Work day and the official opening of the green for play will all happen within the next couple of weeks and we can then look forward to our first game of the season which will be a friendly against Wragby at the end of the month.
The first league game of the new season will involve our Monday night team. We have teams that take part in leagues on Sunday mornings, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Wednesday afternoons. We also have roll ups on Tuesday afternoons and a fun league on Friday afternoons. This season many members will be wearing our new club shirt featuring the club’s logo.
As you can see we are a very proactive club so whether you’d like to be competitive or just play for fun, do feel free to get in touch.
On the social side, we have member nights when we host singalongs, race nights and quizzes. Our most recent event involved club members Pete and Ian who put on a wonderful evening of fun, banter and great singing.
So, finally, if you are interested in finding out more about us and can't make the open day on Sunday May 5th, please just get in touch!
